Antique hinged trinket box made of ivory pyralin. Made in France and marked on bottom. Circa 1900. Ivory pyralin is an ivory colored celluloid plastic. Oval type shape with flat backside. 4 legs on bottom. Blue velvet inside. Closes securely. 4 1/4 inches long, 3 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches high. Good condition for age and use. Top, sides, and bottom have no chips or cracks. The 2 hinge pieces attached to bottom have a crack on 1, and a chip on the other. The damage is old. Lid works normally and isn't loose. See photos. Blue velvet inside has some wear from age, more so on bottom than lid. No tears. Unique collectible or use for small jewelry.
