Dragon Ball Heroes a very popular game in Japan, it is the first card game on the market, for more than 5 years, and has distributed nearly 400 million cards. It has brought in around 5 billion Yen (US$45 million) per year since 2011. There are over 3,000 individual cards and 1.8 million players.
Overall since its launch, the game has taken over the main Story Arcs of the series. On March 22, 2012, an update introduced the Galaxy Mission (GM). 10 series were released on this theme.
In November 2013, the Jaaku Missions (JM - Evil Dragons) were released, thus taking up the Evil Dragons from the Dragon Ball GT series. Then in March 2015, the God Mission (GDM) were released. Finally, in November 2016, Bandai Namco developed a system update with Super Dragon Ball Heroes, taking inspiration from the Dragon Ball Super series.
On December 2020, the Big Bang Mission (BM) series were introduced in Japanese only.
