Arranbee R & B Doll - Measures approximately 17". Mystery lady has no markings, but I assume she’s from the early ‘50s. Her incredible brunette hair is lush and full, with the classic Veronica Lake peek-a-boo style. Wig is glued-on and it is in perfect condition. She could use a comb out.
The lady wears an incomparable pink polka dot gown with lace, ruffles and bows. Underneath is a lovely white satin half slip. She wears her original silk stockings. Her shoes are clearly not original, or maybe she put these on after dancing all night in spike heels.
She has hazel sleep eyes, real eyelashes, painted eyebrows and lashes under the eyes. Her closed red mouth is painted.
Her body is jointed at the neck, arms & legs so she sits, stands and turns her head. She isn't fragile anywhere, but the arms show a little 'give' at the shoulder, which may be intended.
