This lovely carnival glass bowl was made by the Fenton Art Glass Company and was acquired by my grandmother as a young girl in the 1910s. The pattern is called Two Flowers, named for the two different types of flowers found in the design--not the number of flowers. Like its sister pattern, Stag and Holly, it is seen mostly in ball footed and spatulate footed bowls, rose bowls, and rare chop plates. The pattern appears on the interior surface of the bowl only; the exterior is smooth and has no pattern. Rendered in marigold, the vase has a ruffled rim with a gentle, expanded saw-tooth finish. The bowl has a medium to light iridescent rainbow finish, the hallmark of carnival glass. Superb condition, no flea bites, chips or cracks.

Sophisticated, elegant, yet homey. The bowl is 8" in diameter, and it stands just under 3" tall. Its pleasing proportions make it the perfect touch of color and sparkle for any spot. I've kept oranges in it and it's beautiful for holidays.
