This beautiful, heavy buckle was crafted of pewter back in 1987 in the USA by K&L Specialty Advertising.

On June 1, 1917, the St. Francis School of Nursing opened in the new Emporia Wing of St. Francis Hospital. Twenty-six nurses made up the first graduating class in 1920. The St. Francis Nurses Home was built in 1921 to house the growing number of nursing students. In 1941, an addition opened containing educational facilities for 165 students.
