Young children. Boy and Girl statue. I don’t know if this is Italian terra-cotta or ceramic or something else. If you know, let me know. When I purchased this, I saw the small amount of chipping on the hands, but when I got home to photograph the item, I realized one of them must’ve been completely decapitated at one time but skillfully repaired by its owner. Zoom in on the pictures. There is felt on the bottom, which I did not remove, but this could reveal more information as far as the material, artist, age.
