These signed Monet earrings are a very rare 1950s Mid Century Modern design.
Between 1952-1954, Monet made just a few Modernist designs and that are very hard to find today. I admire these futuristic designs as they were way ahead of their time. The quality of the metals and craftsmanship is unlike anything Monet has made since.
The earrings don't have a design name. I call them Silver Rain Drops; paisley shapes w/ small round Raindrop circles.
If you want this metal to look silver, it will look silver. If you want it to look gold, it will look gold. This heavy silver-gold chromium plating is extremely durable w/ a high mirror finish. This finish was only used on Monet between 1952-1954.
The clip earrings have Monet's patented pressure sensitive lever backs that can be adjusted for perfect tension. The earrings are not big at 1 1/2" long or x 1 1/8" wide. The pair is in pristine clean condition with no scratches, scuffs, or wear.
