Handmade Mermaid nautical home decor. This beautifully crafted piece of art measures 8" x 10" without the mermaid swimming off the frame. The frame is made of reclaimed wood. Her hair is made from hand dyed cotton twine. Her tail is made from sea glass hand picked from RI coastlines and embellished with seed beads. Her fan tail is made from ribbon hand woven as you see. The mermaid is sitting on a special blend of home made Papier-mâché made to resemble a jagged coastal cliff. She's holding a sun gazing ball that we call mermaid stones. The sun is a bubble shaped craft stone made to match the 3D mixed media theme of this picture.
