This is a rare vintage pair of 1971 music-themed statues by J. Kendrick for Universal Statuary Corp, featuring a boy and girl duo. Each statue is signed by the artist and includes detailed craftsmanship typical of Kendrick's expressive style.
The boy figure is marked with a unique misprint reading "CHICARO" and numbered 136B, while the girl is correctly marked "CHICAGO" and numbered 136G, adding to their collectible appeal. Both statues retain their original bottom felt liners, showing natural aging consistent with their vintage status.
