Famous Prints by Hokusai & Hiroshige Boxed Set, c. 1970

Boxed set of 37 lithograph reproductions of iconic ukiyo-e prints by Katsushika Hokusai and Utagawa Hiroshige, published by Nikkei Shinbun. Titled 北斎と広重 名所絵 (Hokusai to Hiroshige Meisho-e, “Famous Views by Hokusai and Hiroshige”), this portfolio includes highlights from celebrated series such as Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji and Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō. The prints are loose leaves (not bound), ideal for framing or individual display.

Housed in a traditional cloth-covered case with gold-printed title label and bone-style ties, the set exemplifies mid-to-late Shōwa-era print quality with clean impressions and vibrant color.
