These exquisite antique earrings are made out of 835 silver and 585 or 14kt gold. They have a beautiful garnet in the center, surrounded by gold, and two lovely round antique pearls. The earrings are made mostly of silver, traditionally German made and vintage.
"835 silver" refers to an alloy of silver that is 83.5% pure. It's a common silver standard, particularly in European countries, for items like jewelry and silverware. This means that for every 1000 parts of the alloy, 835 are pure silver, and the remaining 165 parts are other metals, usually copper and nickel.
