DESCRIPTION: RARE. The latticino (glass cane that is used to decorate outside of glass) ribs begin in the bottom and radiate evenly spaced up to the rim. Although this pattern was designed by John Miller and was first produced by Buckeye Glass Company in 1888 where Mr. Miller was issued the patented (Patent #393257) for the process of making this type of glass, Fenton and other’s also made the Reverse Swirl but few “Hat” style vases with crimped rim can be currently found. Those found with the crimped rim are in usually in white or light blue or only have 3 corners. This rare item has 4 corners making it a truly an exquisite piece for any collection.
