Incredible Native American spiderweb turquoise ring set in a classic Navajo sterling silver setting vintage 1960-70s (possibly earlier). It looks like there was a stamp on the inside of the ring, but it is so worn down it is hard to tell for sure.
The turquoise stone is truly something special. Only old Nevada mines produced fine spiderweb turquoise of this quality, color, and composition. While it is hard to know for sure (a true mystery of history), it looks like either Indian Mountain, Nevada Blue, or possibly Lone Mountain or a rare form of Number 8. This piece was clearly well loved. The band is slightly bent off center (doesn't affect wear), has lots of patina, but the stone is in perfect, natural condition with amazing spider webbing and inclusions from the host rock.
