He was born in Esslingham, Germany in1928. After World War II he started seriously studying art, sculpting and finally painting by brush. He began doing commissioned work for the W.T. Burger Co. Inc. in the 1950's through the 1970's. Kort's style is most pleasing and he has a wonderful ability for composition. His original paintings are becoming more and more in demand all over Europe and America. This painting was sold through the Burger Company catalog with custom pre-ordered frame.
