Rare handmade ornate vintage embroidery dress

This is probably hands down the most amazing and intricate garment I've had the privilege to come upon. It was given to me by a dear friend, once owned by his mother in the 1960s. I hesitate to cheapen it's beauty and historic value by calling it merely a piece of clothing. Like I used to hear the old folk say.... they don't make em like this anymore! it was difficult to truly capture the magnitude of this epic piece in all it's hand stiched, impeccable embroidery detail, black velvet, boho chic, big bell sleeved gloriness but I tried.. measurements provided upon request, since this garment is totally homemade, there are no tags but this would best accommodate a size large or even an extra large.
Absolutely no wear or flaws that I can see, which is amazing considering the age of this garment. But also not too surprising if it hung in a closet, without much wearing if any!
