This fine studio art bird house with glazed green roof, ceramic pottery piece, is from our large collection of vintage items.
This one of a kind handmade ceramic pottery was purchased from the Coach House Gallery that was on Van Dyke Place in Indian Village, Detroit, Michigan in the early 1970’s. Nona Herzog owned the gallery.
Nona was very active and involved with local artists as well as the Scarab Club downtown. The local artists were many.Chris Anthony, Johanna Haas, NAHLER, Bill Evans, Karen Carter, Mary Lark, Chars Herzog III to name a few. Her gallery also had artists from around the world come and display their art such as Vagh, Miele, and many more.
So unique in its construction and how it was glazed.
This bird house is just amazing. The unglazed ceramic pottery base has the stamped marks of the artist and where it was designed.
